B&S Tenor Saxophone Date

Hello,
I am the owner of a silver tenor saxophone B & S serial number 2487.
I have heard that it is possible to find the manufacture date of my saxophone.
Could anyone help me with this?

Would you please provide some pictures - there are actually two verions.
Then I can comment and let you know my educated guess.

yes, they are sufficient. Thank you.

This is the "old" version, therefore the manufacture year should be end of 1973 / beginning of 1974.
Sorry, but a better guess is not possible for me.

I know: SN 2217 was built in JUN/JUL 1973; SN 2664 was built in APR 1974.

I have a question: Is "Made in GDR" engraved below the serial number, or at the lower ring of the bell (front side)?
